In 2002, Cuttin' Up Stables opened its doors as a unique horse motel to welcome guests on their travels. Whether you're traveling on business or for pleasure, you're sure to find everything you need here!
Cuttin' Up Stables Horse Motel is situated on over 13 acres of land. There are multiple barns with 16 stalls, multiple pastures and round pens, an outdoor arena, RV hookups, and a cozy cabin at this beautiful horse motel. This is a horse farm that offers horse motels, birthday parties, cowboy magic, horse camps, horse tricks, riding lessons, therapeutic riding, and western art workshops. There are 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in the main residence which has recently been renovated. Among the many features are an eat-in kitchen with new appliances and a sink made of copper, a cozy living room, a family room, as well as a sitting porch where you can enjoy the setting sun. There are lodging, restaurants, and a vet nearby (2-3 miles away).
To get there, I-70 to Exit 115 (Knightstown Exit,) go North on SR. 109 to Shirley Rd., go to first rd. on the right which is 450 S. Stables will be on the north side of the road. Approx. 2.8 miles from exit 115.
About The Owners:
It is the goal of the owners' Mike and Melinda Gerrish to make you feel right at home, and have set up this family-run facility to achieve just that.
It has been Mike's pleasure to work with horses for many years and he has a wonderful passion for this field. The understanding and patience he has, combined with his experience, hard work, and dedication, make horse owners feel right at home. He also enjoys playing his fiddle and listening to good conversations.
Melinda has extensive experience with horses as well. The opportunity to run this facility allows her to fulfill her desire to work with both horses and people. Her warmth and hospitality are well-known throughout the community.
