A Gateway to the Shore-to-Shore Trail

Elk Hill Horse Campground is not just a destination; it's a gateway to one of Michigan’s most renowned trail systems—the Shore-to-Shore Trail. The trail also features northern and southern spurs, providing additional opportunities for exploration. Elk Hill serves as an ideal stop along this expansive trail, offering a convenient and comfortable place to rest and recharge before continuing your journey.

The Michigan Trail Riders Association plays a crucial role in maintaining this trail system, ensuring it remains a pristine and accessible route for adventurers year-round.
