Directions:

From Highway 446 (going south on 446 turn left, going north on 446 turn right) onto Hwy 58 East, proceed 6.5 miles to Norman, IN to the only stop sign in town, and turn left at the brown FS sign. Proceed another 0.3 miles and turn left onto road 1250 W at the brown FS sign and proceed another 1.5 miles to Hickory Grove Road turn right at the brown FS sign and proceed another 0.7 miles to Hickory Ridge Trailhead on the left side of the road. GPS Coordinates: Lat - 38o 58' 37.617" N, Long - 86o 17' 41.087" W.

 

Hickory Ridge Horse Camp offers the following facilities and amenities:

This horse camp is also a trailhead for much of the 46-mile Hickory Ridge Trail.

Restrictions:

  • Firewood Restrictions.
  • Horse riders and mountain bikers (age 17 years and older) are required to have a permit and stay on designated trails. Permits are available from our offices or local vendors (see website). Forest trails are closed to all motorized vehicles.
  • Follow Leave No Trace principles.

 

Notes:

  • Camp patrons must use a designated site.
  • Day users must use the designated day-use parking area. 
  • Water is available for livestock but not tested as safe for human consumption.
