Horse campers will be glad to know that the Huckleberry Stables in Pineville, Missouri is one of the best campsites in the area. Located in the Huckleberry Ridge State Forest, the campsite offers a unique opportunity for horse riders to enjoy their passion in a stunning natural environment.

The campsite is open year-round, making it the perfect destination for horse riders who love to camp regardless of the season. Huckleberry Stables caters to both individual and group camping, making it the perfect place for families, groups of friends, or solo riders who want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

One of the best things about Huckleberry Stables is that it's situated right in the middle of the state forest. This means that you can access miles of horse trails as soon as you step out of the gates. Whether you're a novice or an experienced rider, there are plenty of trails to explore. The forest itself is a treat to ride in, thanks to the stunning scenery of the surrounding area.

As you ride down the trails, you will come across some of the most picturesque sites in the area. You can explore Green Hollow, Cave Hollow, Overlook Point, and Big Sugar Creek, amongst other stunning locations. These sites offer riders an incredible opportunity to connect with nature and enjoy the peace and tranquillity that comes with riding in the great outdoors.

For those who want to experience the local culture, Huckleberry Stables is within riding distance of the Jesse James Days festival and parade, held each year in Pineville, MO. When it's time to rest after a long day on the trails, Huckleberry Stables has you covered. The campsite offers comfortable, clean cabins and limited RV hookups to ensure that you have everything you need to stay comfortable throughout your stay.

Directions: 

From Joplin, Mo 

Take Interstate 44 East to I-49 South (Exit 11).  Continue about 45 miles on I-49 to the Pineville/Noel exit. Turn LEFT onto MO Hwy. H toward Pineville. Drive about half a mile to the stop sign at Business US 71, and turn RIGHT onto 71B (toward Bella Vista). County road K will be about half a mile on your left. Turn onto K and drive to Huckleberry Stables four miles East on Highway K.  Look for our sign on the right-hand side of the highway.

From Fayetteville, AR

Take Interstate 49 North to Bella Vista, AR.  I-49 becomes US 71 in Bella Vista.  Continue North on US 71 into Missouri to the Pineville/Noel exit. Turn LEFT onto MO Hwy. H toward Pineville. Drive about half a mile to the stop sign at Business US 71, and turn RIGHT onto 71B (toward Bella Vista). County road K will be about half a mile on your left. Turn onto K and drive to Huckleberry Stables four miles East on Highway K.  Look for our sign on the right-hand side of the highway

Horse riders who visit Huckleberry Stables will be treated to some of the most beautiful sights Missouri offers. So, whether you're an experienced rider or new to the sport, there's no better place to experience the joys of horse camping than Huckleberry Stables.

 

Policies:

  • Please reserve any family reunion rides or saddle club rides early to guarantee availability.
  • No debit or credit cards are accepted.
  • Negative Coggins within 12 months are required.
  • They recommend that your horses be shod on all four hoofs.
  • All dogs must be kept on a leash in the cabin area or kenneled, no aggressive dogs.
  • There is a $50.00 deposit required for reservations from April 1st thru November 1st.
  • Deposit transferrable for one year as long as we are notified 2 weeks prior to your visit

 

Cost Details: 

  • Limited RV hook-ups - $25.00 per night for two ($6.00 additional per adult).
  • Bunkhouse - $60.00 per night for up to three people ($7.00 per person per night additional).
  • Osage cabins - $50.00 per night single or double occupancy ($7.00 per person per night additional)
  • Hillbilly cabins - $45.00 per night single or double occupancy ($7.00 per person per night additional)

For horses:

  • Uncovered outdoor pens are 12 x 12 and $10.00 per stay or per week, one horse per pen.
  • Barn stall rental (10 x 10) is $20.00 per stay or per week, with one horse per stall.

 

Notes: Tent camping is allowed along with an RV or Cabin rental.  We do not have any tent-only sites.
