Eight of these sites are thoughtfully designed to cater to horse campers, ensuring that everyone can experience the charm of this state park.

New Discovery State Park offers the following facilities and amenities:

Cost Details:

  • RV/Tent Site: VT Residents - $20 / Non-Residents - $28
  • Lean-tos: VT Residents - $30 / Non-Residents - $38
  • Burton Island lean-to: VT Residents - $40 / Non-Residents - $50
  • Extra People Over 4 (max 8) - $5 per person, per night
  • Pets - $2 per pet, per night

 

Reservations:

There are three ways to make reservations with Vermont State Parks. They are:

  • reserving online
  • calling the Reservation Call Center at 1-888-409-7579 (Mon–Fri, 9 am - 4 pm)
  • calling the park directly (during the season)

 

Notes:

  • Pets are permitted throughout the park except for at the picnic shelter at Osmore Pond. Horse sites accommodate a maximum of 2 horses per site. Please clean up after your pets.
  • Please call the park directly for the condition of the horse camping sites before reserving
  • Firewood is not to be brought to parks from out of state UNLESS the wood is packaged, labeled as having been heat treated, and certified by USDA or the appropriate state department of agriculture. For more info, click here.
