Directions:
From Boise, Idaho, travel State Highway 21 north to the turnoff of the Arrowrock Reservoir. Travel along Forest Service (FS) Road 268 (Middle Fork Boise River Road) east approximately 69 miles. This is a long drive, you will travel past the Arrowrock Dam and several other campgrounds before arriving at Powerplant Campground. The FS Road 268 is very narrow and may be rough. Use caution when driving to your site. Allow plenty of time.

Horseback Riding
There are 24 campsites located near the headwaters of the Middle Fork of the Boise River. Campsites have campfire rings, picnic tables, grills, and a vault toilet. The Power Plant / Middle Fork Trailhead is a signed site with a restroom, fire ring, grill stand, loading/unloading ramp for animals, stock stall, serving table, picnic table, horseshoe pit, corral, and visitor information. It serves the Power Plant and Long Lake Trails. Located near Power Plant Campground.

Middle Fork of the Boise River Trail #460 (foot & horse) - 2 miles. Provides access to Sawtooth Wilderness and a network of trails. There is a staging area for trips into the wilderness with horse facilities.
