Directions:

From Chadron at the intersection of Highway 385 and Highway 20, southwest on Highway 20, 9.4 miles to Eleson Road. South 3 miles, the road jogs .5 miles to the west, then continue south 4 miles to Bethel Road. Follow Bethel Road East 1 mile to Fores Road #737.  Travel on Forest Road #737 for 1 mile to Roberts Tract Campground/Trailhead, just follow the signs to the Pine Ridge National Recreation Area.

 

Roberts Tract Camping Area offers the following facilities and amenities:

Policies:

  • Certified noxious weed-free hay/feed is required on national forest lands.
  • Motorized vehicles are prohibited within Pine Ridge National Recreation Area.

 

Cost Details:

  • $15.00/vehicle/night. Please pay onsite.

 

Notes:

  • Open year-round.
  • First come, first serve.
  • No potable water. Stock water is available from mid-May to mid-October.
  • Campfires are allowed, and fire rings, grates, and grills are provided. Please don't bring in wood that may be infested by the Emerald Ash Borer.
  • Call the office at 308-432-0300 for specific dates for the watering tank.
