Horseback riders can explore the surrounding trails, immersing themselves in the beauty of the Mt. Hough Ranger District. The nearby trails allow for easy access directly from the campground, offering an opportunity to experience the natural beauty of the area on horseback.

For those interested in other forms of recreation, Snake Lake is ideal for non-motorized boating and fishing. The lake, however, is not recommended for swimming, making it more suitable for quiet, reflective moments by the water or a day spent casting a line. In addition, the campground is one of the few in the region that allows for OHV (Off-Highway Vehicle) access directly from the site, making it a convenient option for those looking to explore the surrounding terrain on their ATVs or dirt bikes.

Whether you are planning a weekend getaway or an extended stay, Snake Lake Campground and Equestrian Camp provide a perfect escape into nature. The campsites are shaded by tall pines and located along the lakeside, offering a peaceful environment where you can relax and unwind.
