Whiting Campground offers the following facilities and amenities:

• Bunkhouses
• A living room with a couch, chairs, and a futon.
• A kitchen that is fully equipped for all of your cooking and dining needs. There is a large attached deck with a BBQ grill, patio table, and chairs with a great view of the pond.
• The bunk room with six bunks and a double bed
• Full bathroom with a stand-up shower.

Horse Facilities:

• The Pavilion: Six 14' x 30' corrals with cover for individual turnout.
• Bunkhouse Paddock- Fenced hillside turnout with run-in to accommodate 2-3 horses altogether.
• 2 tack sheds with saddle racks and room for storage.
• 90' x 200' outdoor riding ring and a round pen.
• GPS Trail map app. information to download onto your phone to help navigate the many trails.
• We do not offer Living Quarter hookups as we are off-the-grid.

Note: All horses will need the following:

• Negative Coggins test for the current year and immunization record.
• You must provide your own grain, hay, and bedding.
• Water bucket for pavilion corrals.
• Wheelbarrow and hay/luggage cart are provided.

The Bunkhouse is ideal for camping with your horse, a trail rider’s paradise! It is a “bring your own horse” facility surrounded by miles of trails to explore on horseback. You will find our equine accommodations to be safe and comfortable. The trail terrain is varied, from class 4 roads to forest trails, fields, and gravel roads with light vehicle traffic. Located in the mountains of Vermont, naturally, there are hills to climb and streams to cross, the trails vary in length from one hour to an all-day ride if you’d like. Besides trail riding, we also have a large outdoor arena available for guests to use.

Lessons and training rides are also available to you. Kelly will be happy to assist you with any problems you’re having with your horse, or areas that you’d like to develop. She has ridden since childhood and has been providing instruction and training since 2001.  She will offer a patient, common-sense approach to any type of rider and horse across all disciplines.

Policies:

• No smoking in any of the buildings.
• No dogs allowed, dogs live on the property (do not feed our dogs please).
• We ask that all riders and guests be respectful of the areas they will be exploring. Some of the areas are private land and it's through the generosity of the landowners that we have so many trails and roads available to explore.
• Please put trash in its place. If you carry it in, please carry it out.
• Recycling and composting food scraps is made easy by the provided bins.
• Please conserve energy by shutting off unused lights..
• A release form must be signed by all riders.  If a rider is under the age of 18, the form must be signed by a parent or guardian.
• All riders 18 years and under are required to wear approved helmets while mounted.
• Obey all No Trespassing signs.

Cost Details:

• A cleaning fee applies to parties of 6 or more.
• $165/night for 2 people, each additional person $30/night, plus 9% VT rooms & meals tax. This includes one horse per person. Each additional horse is $20/night.
• A 2-night minimum is required and a cleaning fee will be applied to groups over 6.
• Training and Lessons are available for $45/hr.
• Kelly offers one courtesy guided ride upon request, beyond that guided rides are $25/hour.
