More Details About North Dakota:

There are over 1,300 campsites available to campers in North Dakota, regardless of whether you are traveling by luxury RV or with a pup tent in the back of their pickup truck. North Dakota offers a wide variety of camping opportunities, including one national park, thirteen state parks, and countless local campgrounds. In every park, there are a variety of activities available. Be sure to pack some s'mores, sing some campfire songs, and watch the sky for the Northern Lights.

Enjoy a horseback ride through North Dakota's Badlands as Theodore Roosevelt did. In the park's South Unit, there are more than 80 miles of marked horse trails, along with countless unmarked trails carved by the park's buffalo population. Horseback riding is permitted in all areas of the park except for camping and picnicking areas and nature trails. The South Unit offers a group horse campground that can be reserved in advance and backcountry horse camping is permitted. A horse rental service is also available, as well as guided trail rides.
