Henry Coe State Park
Are you planning a horse ride at Henry Coe State Park? The park boasts almost 100 square miles of quintessential Californian landscapes. Its winding single-track trails and dirt roads meander around ridges, canyons, and hollows. The park features different sections, including ponds, remnants of hunting cabins, and cattle camps. From the ridge-top, visitors can catch a glimpse of Hwy 101 far below and view the cities of San Jose, Gilroy, and Morgan Hill scattered along the distant valley floor. While on a clear day, equestrians can set their sights on the Sierras to the west and multiple mountain peaks to the east. Open throughout the year, Henry Coe State Park is especially enchanting in early spring when the hills and valleys are blanketed with stunning wildflowers, and the creeks are streaming with crystal-clear, cold water.
Equestrian camping is allowed at Henry Coe. Many of the horse camps are pack-in only. Henry Coe does allow drive-in camping in certain areas, including the park headquarters and at the Dowdy Ranch visitor's center on the east side of the park. Restrictions apply, call for details.

Horse Camp is $25 per night, which includes 1 vehicle and 2 horses. The additional vehicle fee is $8 per night. The additional horse fee is $5 per night.

Camping Fees
- Drive-in campsite is $20 per night, which includes 1 vehicle. The additional Vehicle Fee is $8 per night.

Manzanita Point Group Camp is $75 per night, which includes 2 vehicles. Additional group vehicles are $8 per night. Total 5 vehicles maximum.
Backpacking is $5 per person per night. Hike/Bike (backpack) Vehicle Fee $8 per night at Coe Ranch and Dowdy Entrances. Hunting Hollow Entrance is $6 per night.
