In the picturesque heart of Kansas, nestled beside the serene waters of Clinton Lake, lies Rockhaven Park Equestrian Campground, a haven for both equestrian and non-equestrian campers alike. With 24 well-appointed campsites, this campground offers a unique blend of natural beauty, modern amenities, and endless opportunities for outdoor adventure.

A Campsite for Every Adventurer

Rockhaven Park boasts a variety of campsites to suit your needs. Twelve of these sites come complete with electrical service, providing modern comforts in a rustic setting (sites #13E-#24E). For those seeking a more traditional camping experience, there are five campsites (#5-#9) open to all, perfect for tents and RVs alike. Yet, it's the 19 exclusive equestrian campsites (#1-#4 and #10-#24) that truly set Rockhaven Park apart as a paradise for horse enthusiasts.

To secure your spot in this captivating campground, reservations are a must, and they're conveniently managed through the Reservation Service. Gone are the days of on-site collections; all payments are processed securely through the reservation service, ensuring a seamless camping experience. Should you arrive without a reservation, fret not; contact the reservation service to confirm availability and complete your transaction effortlessly with a credit card over the phone. You can make reservations up to six months in advance via telephone or the Internet, ensuring your perfect campsite is just a few clicks away.

Modern Comforts in a Natural Setting

At Rockhaven Park, modern comforts harmonize beautifully with nature's splendor. Amenities include a well-appointed four-stall shower and restroom building, where you can freshen up after a day of outdoor exploration. For convenience, a two-stall vault toilet is also available. Engage in a friendly game of horseshoes at the dedicated pits or enjoy a leisurely meal at the picnic shelter. A playground provides entertainment for younger campers, and for the equestrian guests, there are thoughtfully designed manure bunkers, corrals, and hitching posts.

Thirsty? Numerous water hydrants are thoughtfully distributed throughout the campground, ensuring you and your equine companions stay refreshed during your stay.

A Paradise for Equestrians

Rockhaven Park proudly stands as a true equestrian-friendly campground, making it a standout choice for horse lovers. It's the only campground at Clinton Lake that permits overnight camping with horses and mules. While a quarter of the campsites are open to non-equestrian campers, the majority, three-quarters, are exclusively reserved for equestrian enthusiasts.

For those who seek a day of adventure without an overnight stay, Rockhaven Park offers a "day use only" parking lot. From here, you can easily access the South Shore Trails, a gateway to unforgettable riding and hiking experiences. The main trailhead is conveniently situated on the north side of the campground, a mere stone's throw from your campsite or the day-use parking lot.
