While the campsite offers a serene atmosphere, it's important to note that it comes with certain limitations. There are no toilets or drinking water facilities available, and the swimming area is considered poor. However, these minor inconveniences are outweighed by the opportunity to bask in the peaceful ambiance of Lake Nineteen and its surrounding wilderness.

Directions:
From the Intersection of US-2 and Forest Highway 13 (about 14 miles east of Rapid River) drive north 18.7 miles on Highway 13 to County Road 440. Turn right (east) on CR 440 and drive 4.6 miles to FR 2733. Turn left (north) and drive 1.3 miles to the parking area.

Nearby Attractions
There are a number of horse, bike, and hiking trails within minutes of several of the sites. In over a mile from these campsites, visitors can expect to find: bait shops, general and grocery stores, gas, a pay phone, trailheads, a fishing pier, biking, and kayak/canoe rentals.
Groceries, gasoline, fishing and camping supplies, boat rentals, ice, MDNR, licenses, deli, and restaurants are available on Forest Highway 13, approximately six miles to the west and north.
Campground Camping
Lake Nineteen has one site on the east side which can only be accessed by boat or by foot/horseback from the Pine Martin Run Trail. It is a small site suitable for one family with tents. Parking is available on the west side of the lake at the boat launch area. The road to the boat launch on Lake Nineteen is also the road to the campsite and boat launch on Ironjaw Lake.
Policies:
- Pack-In, Pack-out policy
- There is a 14-day stay limit.
- No drinking water is available.
- Campsite must be occupied the first night.
- Campsite cannot be left unattended for more than 24 hours.
- Horse camping: At sites that allow horses. All straw, hay, feed, and manure must be raked up and hauled home.
- Horses must be properly tethered in designated areas
- You are welcome to collect firewood from the area surrounding your campsite. Just remember that any firewood that you collect must be DEAD AND DOWN
- Don't move firewood.
Cost Details:
- The camping fee is $8 per night per site. Federal Recreation Passes (Golden/America the Beautiful) are accepted.
Notes: Reservations through Columbus Day. No services/no reservations/no fees after that time Columbus Day through May 15.
Camping at Lake Nineteen is by reservation only. Walk-ins are not allowed. These sites may be reserved for up to 14 days. Reservations are made on our national recreation reservation system.
