Five Brooks Horse Camp: Forest, Mountain, and Beach Riding

Five Brooks Horse Camp offers trails straight from camp with forests, mountains, and beach riding available. The magnificent Point Reyes National Seashore is filled with activities to suit all ages and types of Buckaroos and Buckarettes. Bring your own horse to camp or take advantage of their guided trail rides.

 

A horseback riding experience at the Point Reyes National Seashore would not be complete without riding on its 120 miles of trails that are filled with forested mountain tops, grassy meadows, coastal scrub, and miles of white sand beaches. This horse camp is located near the Point Reyes National Seashore. A variety of trails are available, including forest and beach rides.

Five Brooks Horse Camp’s Activities and Services:

If you don't have a horse or have friend's without horses but still want to go camping, Five Brooks offers guided trail rides that offer an excellent opportunity to explore the Park and take in its splendor. There are rides available for 1, 2, 3, and 6 hours. A trail ride is subject to the conditions of the weather and the trail. It is their policy that all rides are designed to accommodate the lowest rider ability level among any grouping of riders for safety reasons. A private ride is recommended for more advanced riders or for special occasions. The following are the different guided trail rides that they offer:

  • Private Picnic Ride

 

General Policies

There is a check-in time of 2:00 PM and a check-out time of 12:00 PM. Pets are not permitted unless you provide a service certificate. The camp does not permit the use of wood shavings. Your horse should be provided with weed-free hay 48 hours prior to arrival, and you should only feed weed-free hay to your horse during this time.

 

Cost Details:

From $60 to $320, depending on the services and activities you will avail of.
