About The Owner:

Shelly and Jim Phalen both have extensive business and horse industry backgrounds.  Jim earned an engineering degree from Kansas State University and worked for a construction company as a part owner.

Shelly has owned and shown horses since she was in her early teenage years.  In the past, she has boarded horses at a variety of facilities. It was in 1996 that she and Jim acquired a home in which they raised and cared for their own paint and quarter horses. Shelly brings credibility and stability to this facility based on her experience in the horse industry, along with Jim's business experience.

Shelly has passed on her lifelong love of horses to both of her daughters. Holly and Taylor are actively involved in the care of the Phalen group of horses, and they compete both at a regional and national level in horse shows.
