San Antonio Riverine Park | Equine Camping at Top Horse Trails

It's a pleasant climate year-round in Socorro, making it a popular destination for both locals and tourists alike. All four seasons are perfect for golfing, hiking, biking, bird watching, camping, and of course - horseback riding! The Rio Grande is a magnificent sight to behold!  Several riverine parks and riding trails are located within Socorro County, including Island Riverine Park at the east end of town.  Make your way to one of these beautiful parks the next time you feel like going for a quick horse camping trip or need a layover.

San Antonio Riverine Park is a free spot to camp nearby the Bosque Del Apache wildlife reserve. It is a state-owned land located on the Rio Grande outside of San Antonio. It is the southernmost park within the city and is adjacent to the Highway 380 Bridge. The place has good cell phone reception. The place has no amenities and all waste should be packed out.
