Nestled in the heart of Central Wisconsin, adjacent to the breathtaking Castle Rock Horse Trails, lies a hidden gem for horse enthusiasts and nature lovers alike: Ukarydee Equestrian Campground. This family-owned and operated haven, in operation since 1992, has become a cherished retreat for those seeking an escape into the splendors of the great outdoors.
An Oasis for Horse Enthusiasts
Ukarydee has been meticulously designed to cater to the desires of horse enthusiasts. The campground boasts three distinct sections: the upper level, the lower level, and the front level. Each level offers spacious campsites, complete with easy access to modern portable toilets and essential tools for maintaining your campsite. What truly sets Ukarydee apart is its strategically located electric hook-ups, ensuring that no matter where you set up camp, a reliable power source is just an extension cord away. Water spigots are thoughtfully situated for your convenience, making life in the great outdoors as comfortable as it is captivating.
Adjacent to Adventure
One of Ukarydee's most alluring features is its adjacency to adventure. The campground seamlessly connects to the Castle Rock Horse Trails, offering a staggering 25 miles of equestrian exploration. These pristine trails wind along the picturesque Wisconsin River, creating an idyllic backdrop for horseback riding enthusiasts.
But Ukarydee's charm extends beyond the horse trails. For water lovers, it's a gateway to the Wisconsin River, Waller's Pond, Roche A Cri, Castle Rock Lake, and Lake Petenwell. Whether you're casting a line for a relaxing day of fishing, indulging in the thrill of boating, or simply basking in the sun on a sandy shore, these water environments promise endless hours of enjoyment.
ATV Enthusiasts' Paradise
For those who crave adventure on four wheels, Ukarydee is ideally located near an ATV route that connects to the open roads of Adams County, making it an ATV enthusiasts' paradise. However, it's essential to note that while ATVs can roar through the roads of Adams County, they're not permitted on the hallowed horse trails of Castle Rock.
Beyond the Trails
Ukarydee is not just a gateway to the great outdoors; it's also your ticket to explore the rich tapestry of nearby attractions. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity to the Necedah Wildlife Refuge and Roch-a-Cri State Park, both offering opportunities for hiking and wildlife observation.
Golf aficionados will find themselves within striking distance of Northern Bay, Arrowhead, and The Sands golf courses. And if you're looking to indulge your senses in culinary delights, Ukarydee is within reach of several exceptional restaurants that promise to tantalize your taste buds.
Explore Wisconsin's Best-Kept Secret
Just 40 minutes north of the bustling tourist attractions of Wisconsin Dells and Lake Delton, Ukarydee allows you to find the perfect balance between adventure and relaxation. You can leave your horses to graze peacefully at your campsite while you explore the vibrant local culture, dine in style, or simply unwind in the lap of nature.
