The campground boasts an activity court, stalls for horses, and farrier and blacksmith services available on weekends from April through November. For those seeking guided trail rides and additional support, riding stables operate from April through October. Notes:

  • Wranglers Campground is open for camping year-round.
  • Stallions must be stalled or kept in the trailer at night. Equipment rental reservations are also available. Security and cleaning deposits may be required.
  • Electric fences are NOT permitted. Metal panels may be used within the tethering areas. In primitive over-flow areas, panels shall be used within the impacted area. Please help avoid unnecessary wear and tear in grassy areas.
  • All horses are required to have proof of a current equine infectious anemia (EIA) Test (Coggins) and a current veterinary health certificate in compliance with Kentucky State laws.
  • Pets must be on a leash of 6 feet or less and under physical control while in the campground. Pets cannot be left unattended.
  • STM International (American Society for Testing and Materials) recommends helmets with equestrian use.
  • Permit for day-use riding: A permit is required for each horse trailer entering Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area.
