Camp Description

Mud Hole Rd

Anniston, AL 36205

Roam the 901 acres of pristine forest located in Anniston Alabama on the former Fort McClellan Base at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. We have over 25 miles of marked trails and roads that can accommodate the beginners to advanced trail enthusiast. There are hills, ridges, gorgeous views, creeks, abundant birds and wildlife, pine forests, hardwood forests and a diversity of plant life.

If you love to ride horses, then Camp McClellan's Horse Trails Campground is the perfect place for you! Bring your horse and enjoy the 31-stall barn with 10 x 10 stalls that you can reserve or simply bring your Highline to utilize the horse accommodations provided at the campsites. Water is only available at the barn, so make sure to carry enough for your horse during your adventure. Our rock-based campsites are designed to accommodate a range of vehicles. We have pull-through and back-in sites that can accommodate trailers and RVs of 30' to 60' in length.
