Highland, AR

Harold E. Alexander WMA was purchased in 1976 with the primary goal of creating optimum habitat conditions for white tailed deer and turkey. It has now become the largest commission owned area in North Central Arkansas with 13,444 acres.

There are many recreational opportunities within the area including hunting, fishing, canoeing, hiking, and sightseeing. Bald Eagles can be observed during late winter along Spring River.
