Located within one of Illinois' largest public access areas, Questing Hills Camp at Jim Edgar Panther Creek State Fish and Wildlife Area (JEPC) offers an exceptional experience for horseback riders and nature lovers alike. Covering a vast expanse of 16,550 acres in central Illinois, JEPC is a diverse mosaic of mature forests, agricultural lands, grasslands, and rare hill prairies. It's an idyllic setting for an equestrian adventure, with 26 miles of well-maintained equestrian trails, abundant camping options, and a rich assortment of wildlife.

Questing Hills Camp is strategically located on Questing Hills Road, just off County Highway 2, and features a 22-car/trailer parking lot for convenient access. The site offers an extensive 26-mile trail system, designed for riders to explore the scenic beauty of Illinois’ rolling hills and diverse habitats. The equestrian trails wind through dense woodlands, across open grasslands, and along the edges of the unique hill prairies, providing a perfect blend of nature’s tranquility and adventure.

The trail network is thoughtfully laid out, with access from both the north and south of the site. Riders can choose from the 9-mile north loop trail or venture further along the southern 11- and 6-mile loops, ensuring options for varying skill levels and preferences. With the entire trail system stretching over a considerable distance, there is always a new path to discover, promising an exhilarating experience each time.
