The Goose Creek Trail Camp is part of the Goose Creek State Forest Campground, with both facilities sharing the same entrance off Manistee River Road. The campground is surrounded by tall jack pines, creating a natural and serene setting for campers. The large open group camping area is specifically designed for equestrian campers riding the Shore-to-Shore Trail, a 420-mile trail system that stretches east-west from Empire to Oscoda, with additional northern and southern spur trails.
The group campground at Goose Creek Trail Camp can accommodate up to 200 individuals or 50 wheeled recreational vehicles. The facility caters to both tents and trailers and includes essential amenities such as vault toilets and potable water from a well-hand pump.
