Situated on County Road KK 362, just off KK Highway, and approximately 16 miles west of West Plains, MO, this trailhead offers horse enthusiasts unparalleled access to one of Missouri’s most rugged and picturesque landscapes.

The Collins Ridge Trailhead parking area is designed to accommodate up to three trucks with horse trailers and a few additional cars, making it a convenient starting point for both short-term visits and extended wilderness adventures. The trailhead provides access to a network of trails that meander through the Devil's Backbone Wilderness, named after the distinctive long, narrow ridge known to early settlers as Devil’s Backbone.
