Since its inception in 1904, when the Teanaway Valley Farm first opened its gates, the Flying Horseshoe Ranch has been a cherished haven for neighbors on horseback and travelers arriving by stagecoach and wagon.
In 1955, George Sr. and Glory Blackburn discovered their slice of paradise within this captivating landscape, marking the beginning of their familial legacy at the ranch. Over the years, this land evolved into an idyllic haven where families gathered, stories were shared, and generations of horse lovers found their sanctuary.
Flying Horseshoe Ranch holds a rich history of fostering equestrian adventures and cherished memories. Today, it operates as an exclusive, independent children's riding camp, offering an array of engaging and educational experiences amidst the stunning backdrop of meadows and pine forests.
The Ranch’s picturesque meadows and pine-draped landscapes set the stage for unforgettable guided trail rides. Each journey commences with an instructional session dubbed "Horse and Saddle Talk." Riders are matched with horses based on their age, size, and riding proficiency. As participants groom and saddle their mounts in the expansive outdoor arena, the skilled wranglers assist with mounting, stirrup adjustments, and a review of fundamental riding skills.
