Camp Description

Forest Rd 10193CG

Cokeville, WY

Hobble Creek Campground, located in the remote beauty of Wyoming’s Kemmerer Ranger District, offers an exceptional camping experience for outdoor enthusiasts and equestrians alike. Situated near the Hobble Creek Trailhead, this serene campsite serves as the perfect base for those looking to explore the surrounding wilderness on horseback. The campground's stunning natural setting provides both tranquil solitude and easy access to adventure.

For horse campers, Hobble Creek Campground is an ideal retreat. With corrals available at the site, visitors can rest easy knowing their horses are well taken care of during their stay. The campground features 18 well-spaced campsites, providing ample room for both campers and their stock. While trailers longer than 30 feet are not recommended due to the remote nature of the area, smaller trailers and RVs will find suitable parking.

One of the key draws to Hobble Creek Campground is its proximity to Lake Alice, just a short 1.5-mile hike or horseback ride east of the campsite. The lake’s crystal-clear waters, framed by towering trees and rugged mountain peaks, make it an excellent destination for a day trip or a peaceful afternoon picnic. Visitors can enjoy fishing at Lake Alice, or simply relax and take in the serene surroundings.
