I love this trail as it is a nature/wildlife preserve, which means there is always a ton of birds to see and plenty of wildflowers in the spring and summer. Footing is great -mostly grass, with some areas of dirt. Note- there is a special use area where they have field dog trials, please check the schedule on their website before coming! You can avoid the area if needed. They do allow hunting in the fall/winter so check these schedules as well. I’ve never had a problem with hunters though.
