Lake Perris Trail is a popular trail for birding, horseback riding, road biking, and running, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of the day. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash. Bathrooms are available on the other side of the wide parking space. Water from Lake Perris is available for horses.
On this trail, you will enjoy Lake Perris’s clean white beaches, enticing blue waters, and rocky Alessandro Island which brings nearly one million visitors each year from surrounding communities. Activities in this popular park include fishing, water sports, bird watching, hiking, rock climbing, camping, horseback riding, and visiting the Ya’i Heki’, Regional Indian Museum. Lake Perris has hot, dry summers and cool, moist winters.
