Twin Rivers Wildlife Management Area (WMA) consists of more than 9,000 acres in 14 non-contiguous tracts in Madison, Hamilton and Suwannee counties. Most of the land is in the 100-year floodplain of the Withlacoochee and Suwannee rivers. Natural communities include river bottom hardwoods, upland hardwoods, natural pines and pine plantations. Portions of the Florida Trail follow the Suwannee River, where alligator, otter and beaver may be observed. Hunting, Fishing, wildlife viewing, canoeing, horseback riding, hiking, bicycling and picnicking are permitted.
