Inglis Island Trail is a popular trail for hiking, horseback riding, and walking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of the day. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.
Inglis Island Trail is a fairly flat wide trail that travels through the woods and to the water's edge of the Cross-Florida Barge Canal. There are beautiful views located at the dam and plenty of wildlife in the area to observe. The trail is mostly exposed to the sun and bringing sun protection is advised. This route travels the perimeter of Inglis Island. The trails are flat and easy, part paved and part dirt. There are views of Lake Rousseau, and also some nice woods and marshlands. Lake Rousseau and Withlacoochee River are nearby the horse trail for water.
