The Woods Ferry Conservation Area is a 3,000-acre area located in northern Florida that is managed by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. The area is composed of a mix of wetlands, cypress swamps, hardwood forests, and pine flatwoods habitats. This area is home to a variety of wildlife species, including white-tailed deer, wild turkey, wood duck, gopher tortoise, and many species of songbirds and wading birds. The area also provides important habitat for the threatened Eastern Indigo Snake. The area is open to the public for recreational activities such as hiking, biking, bird watching, hunting, fishing, and primitive camping. The area also offers educational opportunities such as interpretive trails and educational programs.
