The Dude Lake & Mustang horse trail is a loop trail that wanders through the Little Manatee River State Park and is a mix of sun and shade. This trail is accessible year-round. Equestrians can enjoy riding more than 15 miles of equestrian trails in the park. The trail is considered to be moderately difficult and is open to horseback riding, mountain biking, and hiking. The trail passes through pine and oak flatwoods, wetland areas, and several scenic cypress sloughs. The surrounding scenery offers beautiful views of the Little Manatee River and the surrounding wetlands. Along the way, visitors may spot wildlife such as deer, armadillos, and wild turkeys.
