This moderate trail may have blowdown on it. Can be muddy. Easy to follow. Several creek crossings. Mostly shady. Good views from the top. Wildlife is abundant, be aware of mountain lions. The Kaniksu National Forest was consolidated with the Coeur d'Alene and St. Joe National Forests under the administrative title "Idaho Panhandle National Forests" in 1973. So legally, the area is still the Kaniksu, but from a practical point of view they call us the "Panhandle."
